Packing service London — a packer wrapping household items with labelled cardboard boxes

Packed room by room, properly

Packing is the part of a move that quietly takes longest, and the part most people underestimate. Our packers work room by room, sealing and labelling each box by its destination room, so nothing arrives as a mystery and the crew knows where every box lands at the other end.

The kitchen and the fragile items get the most care — glassware and crockery wrapped individually, bottles stood upright, and the everyday things you will want first packed last so they come out first in the new place.

How many boxes a move really needs

People almost always under-buy boxes and over-fill the ones they have. As a rough guide, a one-bed London flat runs to around 15–25 boxes, a two-bed to 30–45, and a family three-bed well past fifty once the loft and the kitchen are counted.

We bring more than we think you will need and only charge for what is used, so a packing day never stops halfway for a supply run to the nearest retail park.

Full pack, part pack, or fragile-only

A full pack takes the entire home off your hands, usually the day before the move. A part pack covers the rooms you would rather not tackle — most often the kitchen and the china cabinet — while you handle the wardrobes and the books yourself.

A fragile-only service is the popular middle ground: we wrap and box the breakables and the artwork, you do the soft, safe things. Packing is charged by the hour per packer, with materials included, and a two-bed typically takes two packers three to four hours.

Pack the whole home, or just the kitchen and the breakables. The fragile-only middle ground is usually the smart one.

Add packing to any move

Packing is not a separate booking to juggle — it is added to your house move or man and van as a clear line on the same quote, run by the same team. That means one point of contact and one crew that already knows how everything is packed when it comes to load the van.

Booked together, the pack and the move are sequenced so the day before and the day itself flow into one another, rather than two companies working to two different plans.

Questions

Packing service, answered.

How much does professional packing cost in London?

Packing is charged by the hour, with the boxes, tape and wrap included. A one-bed flat is usually a half-day; we can quote a fixed figure once we know the room count.

Do you supply the boxes and materials?

Yes — double-walled boxes in every size, wardrobe cartons, dish packs, tissue and bubble wrap all come with the service. Nothing to buy or collect beforehand.

Can I book packing for just the kitchen?

You can. Partial packing is common — most people hand us the kitchen and the fragile items and do their own wardrobes. We label everything by room either way.

Do you unpack at the other end?

On request, yes. We can unpack room by room at the destination and take the empty boxes away, which is worth it after a long moving day.

How many boxes will I need?

Roughly 25 medium boxes for a one-bed and 40 or so for a two-bed, though books and kitchens shift that quickly. If we are packing, you do not need to count — we bring plenty.
